Argyle Sure Isn’t For Liverpool And Arne Slot

Plymouth Argyle is going to make headlines not just in the EFL cup but might command some fear in the Championship after helping teams like Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal by beating EPL leaders Liverpool in the EFL cup.

The game that started with Liverpool looking favourites turned out to be a story that many media houses will carry for a while. Possession as said but the Special one, Jose Mourinho does not win games but rather how many goals you score.

This was a shock, it was one that not even people who do not like football would predict as Liverpool has being in the best of their form in all competition.

Liverpool conceded a goal via a spot kick which was converted by Hardie after which Plymouth played like they were in the pro league. Liverpool with all their stars could not break the defence of the hosts as they bowed out of the EFL cup.

Arne Slot after losing to the Championship side admitted he expected better from his side after making maximum changes to boost their energy levels. With Manchester United in sight after Plymouth Argyle brushed Liverpool away, this is a message to the other teams in the EFL cup who do not take the cup in full regard.

Liverpool in this game lacked depth which was exposed by the Championship side and if the other teams take note, Arne Slot and his men will have a lot on their table.

With Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all out of the EFL cup, many will be looking out for the champion slayers.
