The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has partnered with the Ghana Supporters Union (GSU) in a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing safety, security, and overall development within the nation’s football ecosystem.
In a joint statement, GFA President Kurt Okraku and GSU leadership emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to ensure safe, enjoyable, and well-organized football experiences for players, fans, and officials alike. The partnership seeks to address stadium security, fan education, and community engagement, while also supporting initiatives that foster the growth of football at all levels.
“The collaboration with the Ghana Supporters Union is a major step toward improving both safety and the overall football experience in our country,” Okraku said. “We are committed to working closely with fans to create a positive environment that supports development and celebrates the beautiful game.”
GSU representatives highlighted their commitment to promoting responsible fan behavior, encouraging constructive engagement with clubs and football authorities, and contributing to youth development programs. They stressed that football thrives best when fans, officials, and governing bodies work together harmoniously.
The partnership is expected to roll out programs focused on stadium security training, community outreach, and youth football initiatives, reinforcing Ghana’s position as a leading hub for football development in Africa.
