The Ghana Federation of American Football (GFAF) has announced plans to host a National Coaches Clinic in Accra, aimed at enhancing the technical skills and strategic knowledge of coaches across the country.

Scheduled to take place later this year, the clinic is part of the federation’s ongoing efforts to develop American football in Ghana, strengthen grassroots programs, and improve the standard of coaching nationwide.

According to the federation, the program will bring together coaches from different regions and levels, providing them with advanced training in areas such as player development, game tactics, conditioning, and team management.

“This clinic represents a major step in professionalizing coaching in American football in Ghana,” a GFAF official stated. “By equipping our coaches with the latest knowledge and techniques, we can raise the level of the game and create a stronger pipeline of talented athletes.”

The National Coaches Clinic will feature experienced local and international facilitators, who will share insights on modern coaching methods, safety protocols, and leadership skills essential for guiding teams effectively. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in practical sessions and interactive workshops.

The GFAF emphasized that the initiative aligns with its broader mission to promote American football, enhance competitive standards, and increase participation among youth and amateur players.

“This is not just about teaching tactics; it’s about creating a culture of excellence, discipline, and growth in the sport,” the federation added.

Coaches and football enthusiasts are encouraged to register early, as the clinic is expected to attract a wide audience of participants from across Ghana.

With initiatives like this, the Ghana Federation of American Football hopes to lay a strong foundation for the future of the sport and ensure that Ghana remains competitive on the continental stage.
