President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has expressed strong confidence in the newly constituted Black Stars Management Committee, describing its members as experienced individuals with a deep passion for the development of Ghana football.
Speaking after the announcement of the committee, Okraku said the selection process was guided by competence, integrity, and a shared commitment to restoring the Black Stars to their rightful place on the African and global stage.
“The new Black Stars Management Committee is made up of experienced individuals who are genuinely passionate about Ghana football,” Okraku stated. “They understand the responsibility that comes with managing our senior national team and are ready to serve with dedication and professionalism.”
According to the GFA President, the committee will work closely with the technical team and the Association to ensure smooth team operations, improved player welfare, and effective planning for upcoming international assignments, including AFCON qualifiers and FIFA World Cup commitments.
Okraku emphasized that the committee’s role will go beyond administrative duties, as members are expected to provide strategic support, maintain discipline within the team setup, and act as a bridge between the players, technical staff, and the Association.
He also called on Ghanaians to rally behind the new leadership structure, stressing that unity and collective support are crucial for the success of the Black Stars.
“The success of the national team is a shared responsibility,” he added. “With the right structures in place and the support of all stakeholders, we believe the Black Stars can achieve their objectives.”
The announcement of the new management committee forms part of broader reforms by the GFA aimed at strengthening governance and improving performances across all national teams.
