Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has stirred conversation with a bold claim that Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus is more naturally gifted than Arsenal and England winger Bukayo Saka.
Speaking on Sports Station on TV3, Sannie Daara heaped praise on Kudus’ exceptional talent and consistent impact since joining West Ham United, insisting the 24-year-old has the quality to walk straight into the starting lineup of any club in world football.
“There’s no club Mohammed Kudus will join and sit on the bench,” Sannie declared. “He’s more talented than Bukayo Saka.”
Kudus made the switch to West Ham United from Dutch giants Ajax and has since become a standout performer for the Hammers. In his first two seasons in England, the attacking midfielder has scored 19 goals in 80 appearances across all competitions, drawing the attention of several elite clubs.
Among the clubs reportedly interested are Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, as well as multiple teams from Saudi Arabia. Kudus is said to favour a move to Spurs, driven by his ambition to compete in European competitions next season. However, West Ham turned down an opening bid of £50 million from Tottenham, as they hold out for a higher fee.
The Ghanaian international has a release clause of £85 million for Premier League clubs, which is only active during the first 10 days of July. European clubs could trigger his release for £80 million, while Saudi teams are expected to meet a valuation closer to £120 million.
As one of West Ham’s most valuable assets, Kudus’ potential departure could pave the way for reinforcements, but the club remains firm in their valuation of the versatile attacker.
With his flair, versatility, and proven ability at the highest level, Mohammed Kudus continues to cement his place as one of Ghana’s brightest footballing exports, and, according to Sannie Daara, a player whose natural talent surpasses that of even Bukayo Saka.
