Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Nana Apinkra has issued a firm warning to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), stating that the club will not resume football activities until its proposals regarding team operations and league management are formally granted.

Speaking in a press briefing, Apinkra emphasized that the club’s demands are aimed at ensuring professional standards, player welfare, and effective club administration. “Kotoko will not compromise on the proposals we have submitted,” he said. “Until these matters are addressed, we cannot resume competitive football safely and responsibly.”

The CEO explained that the proposals cover critical areas such as financial support, scheduling, and logistical arrangements, which he says are essential for the club to operate effectively in the domestic league. Apinkra stressed that Asante Kotoko is committed to Ghanaian football but insists that proper structures and agreements must be in place.

GFA officials are expected to review the club’s submissions in the coming days, with both parties seeking to reach a resolution that allows football activities to continue while addressing the club’s concerns.

The warning underscores the ongoing tensions between top clubs and the GFA, highlighting the need for dialogue, transparency, and cooperation to ensure the smooth running of the domestic league.
