Otto Addo has urged fans to remain cautious despite Ghana’s 3-0 victory over Madagascar in Morocco on Monday, which boosted their 2026 World Cup qualification hopes.
A brace from Thomas Partey and a close-range finish from Mohammed Kudus secured a comfortable win for the Black Stars against the Malagasy.
With 15 points, Ghana now sits five points clear of Madagascar in Group I of the qualifiers, putting them in a strong position ahead of the final stretch.
However, Otto Addo, who guided the Black Stars to qualification for the 2022 World Cup, has emphasized the need for both fans and players to stay focused.
“We are in a good position, but this is also a danger, and I’m already thinking about keeping our heads focused. The job is really not done. If Comoros win, we’ll be just three points ahead of them, and there is still a long way to go. We have to stay focused,” Otto Addo told Gist Sports after the game.
