“I Returned to Kotoko to Finish What I Started” – Albert Amoah

Striker Albert Amoah has explained that his decision to return to Asante Kotoko was driven by unfinished business and a strong emotional connection to the club.

Amoah, who previously enjoyed a productive spell with the Porcupine Warriors, says coming back to Kumasi was about more than just football, it was about completing a journey he believes was cut short during his first stint.

“I returned to Kotoko to finish what I started,” Amoah said. “This club gave me a platform and believed in me, so I felt it was only right to come back when the opportunity presented itself.”

The forward revealed that his earlier exit left him with a sense of incompleteness, as he had personal and collective targets he was unable to fully achieve. Returning to Kotoko, he believes, offers him the chance to repay the club’s faith and contribute meaningfully to its ambitions.

Amoah has already settled back into the squad and is focused on helping Kotoko challenge strongly in domestic competitions. Known for his work rate, movement, and eye for goal, the striker is determined to make a telling impact during his second spell.

“I know the expectations that come with wearing this badge,” he added. “I’m ready to work hard, score goals, and help the team succeed.”

Kotoko supporters will be hoping Amoah’s renewed hunger and familiarity with the club can translate into decisive performances on the pitch as the season progresses. For the striker, the return represents both a fresh start and an opportunity to close a meaningful chapter with success.
