Eleven Wonders Target Five-Year Plan to Become Benchmark for Ghanaian Football – CEO Stephen Puro

Chief Executive Officer of Eleven Wonders Football Club, Stephen Puro, has outlined an ambitious vision to position the club as a model for professionalism and sustainable development in Ghanaian football within the next five years.

According to Puro, the club is committed to building strong institutional structures, investing in youth development, and adopting best management practices that can serve as a reference point for other clubs in the domestic game.

“Our objective is clear,” Puro stated. “Within the next five years, Eleven Wonders wants to set the benchmark for how football clubs in Ghana should be run—on and off the pitch.”

The Eleven Wonders CEO emphasized that long-term planning, rather than short-term success, is central to the club’s philosophy. He explained that the focus is on creating a stable environment that prioritizes financial discipline, transparency, and player welfare while remaining competitive on the field.

Puro highlighted youth development as a cornerstone of the club’s strategy, noting that nurturing local talent will not only strengthen the team but also contribute to the broader growth of Ghanaian football.

“We believe the future of Ghana football lies in structured youth systems,” he said. “By developing our own players and giving them the right guidance, we can create a sustainable pathway from grassroots to the professional level.”

Beyond player development, the CEO stressed the importance of strong governance and accountability, adding that clubs must evolve beyond survival mode to embrace modern football administration.

“Football clubs must be run like proper institutions,” Puro added. “With the right structures, clear vision, and commitment to professionalism, Ghanaian clubs can compete favorably and regain respect both locally and internationally.”

He also called for collaboration among stakeholders, including administrators, supporters, sponsors, and the Ghana Football Association, to help create an enabling environment for clubs to thrive.

Puro’s remarks come at a time when Ghanaian football is undergoing renewed scrutiny, with increasing calls for reforms aimed at improving league competitiveness, financial stability, and youth development.

As Eleven Wonders continues to pursue its long-term goals, the club’s leadership remains confident that discipline, innovation, and patience will drive meaningful progress and help set new standards for football management in Ghana.
