Former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has launched a football agency aimed at guiding, mentoring, and supporting young players as they navigate the early stages of their professional careers.
The new agency is designed to provide holistic career management for emerging footballers, with a strong focus on player welfare, education, and long-term development rather than short-term financial gain. Boateng, who enjoyed a distinguished career across Europe’s top leagues, says the initiative is inspired by his personal experiences as a professional footballer.
Speaking about the project, Boateng emphasized the importance of proper guidance for young talents, noting that many promising players struggle due to a lack of mentorship and informed decision-making.
“Football is more than talent. Young players need the right people around them to help them make the right choices at the right time,” he said. “This agency is about protecting their future and helping them grow both on and off the pitch.”
The agency will offer services including contract negotiations, career planning, performance management, and personal development support. It also aims to educate young players on financial literacy, mental health, and life after football, areas Boateng believes are often overlooked.
Boateng’s decision to enter player representation follows his transition into football development roles since hanging up his boots. His extensive experience playing for clubs such as AC Milan, Barcelona, Schalke 04, Tottenham Hotspur, and Eintracht Frankfurt is expected to give the agency strong credibility among players and parents.
Industry observers see the launch as a significant move that could positively influence how young African and European talents are managed, particularly those seeking opportunities abroad.
With the agency now operational, Boateng says his ultimate goal is to create a support system that allows young players to focus on their football while being guided responsibly toward sustainable and successful careers.
