National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary Kofi Adams has clarified reports suggesting he holds the position of Minister for Football, emphasizing that such claims are inaccurate.
Speaking at a press briefing, Adams stated that while he is deeply committed to supporting sports development and has a keen interest in football, he does not hold any official government role related to the administration of football in the country.
“I am not the Minister for Football, nor have I ever been appointed to that position,” Adams said. “My focus remains on my duties as General Secretary of the NDC and contributing to national development in my official capacity.”
The clarification comes amid speculation linking Adams to football administration following recent interactions with football stakeholders. He assured the public that he supports efforts to develop the game but will continue to do so in a personal and advisory capacity, rather than as an appointed government official.
Adams’ statement seeks to dispel misinformation and reaffirm his commitment to transparency and proper governance in both political and sports matters.
