Motswana sprint whirlwind – Letsile ‘Schoolboy’ Tebogo clocked 9.87 seconds to win the men’s 100m dash at the 2024 Golden Gala Diamond League in Rome, Italy on Friday, August 30.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games gold medallist in the men’s 200m [Tebogo] who has denied to be tagged as the new face of sprinting [men] even though whatever he’s doing at the moment is suddenly turning into gold had to comeback to beat Christian Coleman after 70m for the victory.
It was the world 60m champion – Christian Coleman from the United State who took an early lead, but could not sustain his fire from the blocks as Tebogo overtook him in a cheecky chippy with 20 metres to spare while looking over his shoulders to see if the American has got more energy in his strides to challenge him again.
