Jamaican sprint Lord – Kishane Thompson has began the 2026 season on a winning note having won the men’s 60-meter dash at the Puma JAAA Fuller-Anderson Development Meet held at GC Foster College on Saturday.
Running in lane five, the Mitchell Town born sprinter clocked 6.52 seconds to edge out Odaine McPherson, who finished second in 6.53 seconds while Bryan Levell [the World Championship 200m bronze medallist] secured the third spot with a time of 6.54 seconds.
Meanwhile, Tia Clayton dominated the women’s event from gun to tape, setting a new personal best of 7.02 seconds to improve upon her previous best of 7.14 seconds.
Jonielle Smith, also achieved a personal best as he came second in 7.06 seconds.
Natasha Morrison, who had entered with the fastest qualifying time of 7.09, placed third in the final with 7.21 seconds.
