Jamaican sprinters – Kishane Thompson and Tia Clayton have been confirmed to participate in the upcoming BAUHAUS-galan Indoor in Stockholm, Sweden on Thursday, January 22.
The Jamaicans were listed on the start lists for the meet which is part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver series yesterday. Also joining the Jamaican sprint forces in Sweden is Tia’s twin sister – Tina Clayton.
Kishane Thompson won silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris having ran 9.82 seconds [+0.3] and also won the silver medal in the men’s 100 metres at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, finishing behind his compatriot Oblique Seville and ahead of Noah Lyles.
Tia Clayton broke the headlines when she made the Jamaican team [100m] for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
She ran a new Personal Best [PB] of 10.86 s [+1.0 m/s wind] in winning her semi-final at the Summer Games.
