It has become evidently clearer now that Mondo Duplantis no longer compete with anyone, but himself as the stylish pole vault star keeps obliterating world records from one event to the other.
Two weeks after setting a new world record at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris amid a humongous cheers at the iconic Stade de France, Duplantis improved his record to a new height at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Poland on Sunday, August 25 having soared over 6.26m.
The 24-year-old Swedish athlete went over 6.00m at his first attempt to win the competition from Sam Kendricks and Emmanouil Karalis, who both also cleared 6.00m.

But Duplantis then put the bar up to 6.26m in an attempt to add one centimetre to the 6.25m he cleared in the Paris Olympics.
Duplantis failed his first attempt, but the bar could not deny him on his second try.
